De Overloper is a full-bodied, dry red cuvée from Hajós–Bajai, one of Hungary’s most beautiful yet lesser-known wine regions. It brings together three grape varieties: Kékfrankos for spice and juiciness, Cabernet Sauvignon for backbone and structure, and Merlot for roundness and a smooth finish. Expect dark cherries, ripe red fruit and a gentle spiciness. Berger Vin makes it. We tasted it, selected it and now bring it directly to the Netherlands. Vintage: 2022. Alcohol: 12.5%. Volume: 750 ml. Serve at room temperature, or slightly chilled on a warm day.

Who makes the wine
Gábor Berger, head winemaker at the family-run Berger Vin in the Hajós–Bajai wine region, makes this wine. We select it ourselves for the Netherlands.
Berger Vin has made wine for three generations, manages 36 hectares with 14 grape varieties and won six gold and seven silver medals at the 2023 regional wine competition.
